The Open Access Button needs sustainable funding and support in order to grow in 2014 and beyond. Along with the Funding Lead, you will be part of a core team responsible for making this happen. As part of the funding team, all members will be involved in setting the direction of funding strategy and in the application process. Training and support will be provided for the right applicants.
Don’t hesitate to contact Georgina on firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions or to see where you might fit in the team.
The Treasurer will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of budgets, covering aspects of the project from travel and events to development. You will be reporting to the Funding Lead, and presenting budgets to other teams and committees within the Open Access Button structure as needed.
Ideally you will have previous experience managing the budget for an organisation or student group; and/or have an understanding of accounting through your studies. The Open Access Button team is international, we value regional representation and this position could be based anywhere in the world.
Depending on the location, skills and interests of Treasurer applicants, the successful candidate may additionally have the opportunity to handle face to face meetings with local partners. Training and involvement in other aspects of fundraising is available if desired.
Commitment would include regular funding team meetings and regular access to email and google docs to keep budgets up to date. The opportunity to attend partner meetings will add hours and travel by negotiation.
